The Freon™ refrigerant portfolio includes Freon™ 23 (R-23) refrigerant for equipment that needs to maintain very low temperatures (VLT), such as medical freezers and environmental chambers. This hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) retrofit refrigerant is an effective alternative to R-13 and R-503 when temperatures must remain at or below -40 to -73 °C (-40 to -100 °F).
